Eco Children's programmes focus on sustainable, bottom-up approaches to enhance education quality and community well-being. We support schools with strong leadership, practice eco-education through Eco Villages, build essential infrastructure, promote literacy, train teachers, award bursaries to talented learners, reward top performers, and engage volunteers for meaningful community impact.
Eco Children’s Project Pathways outline the stages of our holistic support process for schools. Each pathway represents a phase of development, from infrastructure improvement to eco-education and literacy promotion, ensuring comprehensive and sustainable impact.
By following these pathways, we create thriving educational environments and foster community growth.
Step 1: Identifying and partnering with primary schools with competent leadership
Step 2: Stimulating the desire to learn through nature based lessons
Step 3: Turning dysfunctional schools into spaces that are conducive to learning
Step 4: Building the capacity of educators and improving the quality of teaching
Step 5: Identifying talented learners and providing them with opportunities they normally would not have access to
Our bursary programme is the pinnacle of all our programmes. We identify talented children who need a helping hand to reach their potential and help them gain access to bursaries.
Part of improving education for children in the area is introducing an environmental and sustainability arm to their syllabus.
We work with teachers at regular capacity building workshops. We aim to help them understand the importance of their subjects and show them better teaching techniques.
